
Cannes Lions
Shazam made its first appearance at the Cannes Lions festival in 2015, introducing our brand redesign to the industry, followed by another visit the following year. Branded moments included billboards at the entrance, exterior and registration section of the Palais, billboards and visually Shazamable coasters on the Carlton Terrace, custom microsites, including a multi-page Shazam for Brands microsite generated by Shazaming throughout the event spaces using Beacon technology, branded gum packets and water bottles, and full page and 2-page spread print ads in the Lions Daily. We were also the official music partner of the event for two years.
In 2017 we capped off the festival with a panel on Augmented Reality featuring Grammy winner Wyclef Jean, FCB Global Chief Creative Officer Susan Credle, Heads Music CEO Madeline Nelson, and Shazam CRO Greg Glenday, followed by a performance by Wyclef. Wyclef Was also at SXSW with Shazam in 2017 to announce our AR capabilities.
